Go Live
Pre-launch checklist
- OBS scenes ready
- Microphone and desktop audio verified
- Link/credentials correctly entered in OBS (see Configure OBS)
- Stable internet connection
- Panel’s “Streamers” page open to check your status
Last-minute checks
- Confirm the correct scene is in preview (Studio Mode).
- Confirm critical overlays/alerts are active.
- Confirm microphone hardware mute is off.
- Confirm no private windows can be captured accidentally.
Start sequence
- In SRT with a scheduled slot: nothing to “start” panel-side — your link already opened automatically 10 minutes before (see Getting Your Connection Link). Enter it in OBS, then simply click
Start Streamingin OBS. - In RTMP, or outside a slot: first click “Demarrer / armer” in the panel to get your link, enter it in OBS, then click
Start Streamingin OBS. - In both cases, check the panel’s feedback: the “On air” badge switches to “(connecte)” (“connected”) once the connection is actually established. Seeing “(pas encore connecte)” (“not connected yet”) right after starting is normal, it only lasts a few seconds.
During live
- Monitor OBS
Stats(dropped frames, bitrate) - Monitor audio levels continuously
- Avoid major technical changes during sensitive segments
Priority warning signs
- Sudden effective bitrate drops
- Repeating network errors
- Persistent CPU/GPU spikes
- Increasing audio delay over time
Fast incident response
- Switch to a fallback scene if needed.
- Lower one complexity factor (scene load, FPS, output scale).
- Inform your audience clearly and briefly.
- Record exact incident time for post-live analysis.
End of slot: what happens automatically
Your animator profile carries an “end-of-live” setting, chosen by an administrator, that determines what happens if you’re still broadcasting when your scheduled slot’s end time arrives:
- Cut at the end of the slot: automatic cut right at the scheduled time.
- 5 extra minutes then cut: 5 minutes of grace before an automatic cut.
- 15 extra minutes then cut: 15 minutes of grace before an automatic cut.
- Never automatically cut: it’s up to you (or an administrator) to end the live session manually.
This system never cuts an ongoing live session without reason: the automatic cut only kicks in for a slot that has genuinely ended, never to free up the air while you’re still broadcasting on time.
Ending your live session yourself
Whether before or after the scheduled end time, you can end your own live session at any moment, with no condition tied to the schedule: go to the “Streamers” page, “Direct” block, click “Arreter” (“Stop”). A message confirms “Direct coupe.” (“Live session ended.”) (or “Rien n’etait ouvert.” — “Nothing was open.” — if nothing was running; harmless).
End of stream (OBS side)
- Click
Stop Streamingin OBS - Click “Arreter” in the panel (Streamers page) if not already done automatically by your end-of-live policy
- Save scene changes if needed
- Report technical incidents for follow-up
Recommended post-live technical review
- Note what worked and what failed.
- Save a stable reference OBS profile.
- Archive logs if incidents occurred.
- Plan fixes outside live windows.
